Middle/High School Food Standards Calculators
These Food Calculators will determine if a snack meets the food standards for calories, fat, saturated fat, and sugar requirements and if an entrée meets the calories and fat requirements established by California’s legislation. This calculator is for use with those "snacks" and “entrees” that are sold outside of the National School Breakfast of Lunch Program.

The following snack foods do not have to meet the fat and saturated fat limits but must be 250 calories or less per serving container. These snack items do not need to be put in the calculator.
·non-fried fruits/vegetables
·seeds (such as sunflower seeds)
·nuts
·eggs
·nut butters (such as peanut butter)
·string cheese
